Description
Building polystyrene is a 100% recyclable commodity. It is up to us how disciplined we are and how we manage our construction waste. SLOVIZOL company carry out the collection and subsequent recycling of polystyrene construction waste, as well as the collection of packaging and so on.
Economic benefits
Recovery of secondary raw material in the production of construction polystyrene. Company ensures the collection of this raw material at its own expense. It has a production line for the processing of waste polystyrene and permits from the environmental authorities for its subsequent processing. The capacity of this production line is several hundred tonnes per year.
Environmental benefits
Preventing the landfilling of polystyrene.
Another very important step towards protection of the environment is the cooperation between Slovizol and the regional association, which brings together 57 municipalities from the Nitra region. As a result, waste polystyrene from more than 25,000 households and almost 81,000 inhabitants does not end up in landfills or in nature, but in SLOVIZOL company, where this polystyrene waste is subsequently processed. Insulation using polystyrene is absolutely safe and has no negative impact on human health. Contributing to the voluntary (non-binding) target that the share of building polystyrene recycling in Slovakia will be more than 50% in 2025.
