What is the green economy?

The green economy is an alternative for change. Growth in income and employment is provided by investments that reduce carbon emissions, overall air and water pollution, increase the efficient use of energy and raw materials, prevent the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services, and are respectful towards natural resources and recognise their value.
