Description

Lindström’s Workwear Rental Service is a fully circular model that replaces traditional textile ownership with a high value-added service. Companies do not need to purchase, store, or wash workwear. Lindström takes care of everything. The entire cycle is closed: Lindström designs, manufactures, rents, regularly services, and recycles the garments at the end of their life. This minimizes textile waste and reduces the consumption of water, energy, and chemicals. Customers receive clean, safe, and comfortable workwear on time, in accordance with occupational health and safety and hygiene standards. The collection, maintenance, and distribution system is optimized both logistically and environmentally. Lindström centers use modern washing and water recycling technologies, and logistics routes are planned with an emphasis on fuel and emission savings. Clothing rental is a prime example of the circular economy in practice, allowing companies to focus on their business while significantly reducing their environmental footprint.

Economic benefits

The workwear rental model eliminates the need for large initial investments in textiles. Companies only pay for the service they actually use, thereby optimizing their operating costs and cash flow. The service includes complete service — from washing to replacement of damaged items, at no additional cost. It also reduces the need for storage space, administration, and internal staff for garment maintenance. The overall economic effect: lower costs, higher efficiency, and predictable expenses throughout the entire life cycle of the textiles.

Environmental benefits

Renting instead of owning reduces the consumption of raw materials, water, and energy by up to tens of percent. The garments are designed for long life, and when they wear out, Lindström ensures that the material is recycled or recovered for energy. Laundries use closed water circuits, environmentally friendly cleaning agents, and low-energy technologies. This approach contributes to reducing the carbon footprint, limiting textile waste, and protecting water resources.
