Description
Passive construction is a very effective solution that is realistic. It involves: a trained architect - a suitable concept - quality materials (windows, or fill openings, heat recovery equipment. This is above standard. Other materials are common.). Consistency of workmanship is essential. The whole process is finally checked by a Blower-door test and infrared equipment.
Economic benefits
It is the most economical way to run buildings, houses, nurseries, schools, administrative premises, etc. If a family house in passive form can save thousands of euros a year, how would that translate into a school with 500 pupils? All this with incomparable indoor air quality, which is ensured by air conditioning with heat recovery. No leakage through window ventilation, because there is no need for ventilation, yet with plenty of fresh air free of dust and possibly pollen. The annual cost of the family wood house for heating and domestic hot water is about 200 €. Note, not per month, but per year. And this with the help of renewable sources and at a low investment cost. The company has built a building that is described as a "Plus House", i.e. it can produce more energy with renewable sources than it consumes itself.
Environmental benefits
It does not matter whether you use 15 - 20 or 150 - 250 kW of energy per 1m² of building area for heating. In doing so, the investment costs increase by about 10 - 15%. This is not much in relation to the resulting effect. It does not need conventional heating or air conditioning and by its efficiency it also saves natural resources and reduces CO2 emissions. Buildings can be constructed from wood, using recycled materials such as foamed glass, cellulose and fabric insulation, so with a low proportion of grey energy, which makes up a significant part of the house. The important thing is that they are fully recyclable and, again, recyclable.
