Description

Returnable plastic packaging made of hollow polypropylene (under the Akylux own brand) can be used as an alternative to disposable packaging, typically made of cardboard. As cardboard plastic is an easily mouldable material, it is possible to provide each customer with a tailor-made solution under cost-effective conditions. The long service life and durability of the packaging ensure a positive economic and environmental effect in the medium and long term compared to disposable packaging. A solution made of cardboard-plastic can provide several advantages and thus outperform other types of packaging used in logistics, warehousing and industry.

Economic benefits

Companies that are able to switch to the use of reusable (returnable) packaging gain an economic advantage in lower overall costs for packaging and product protection. This is not only through higher efficiency of protection of the packaged product, but also by reducing the number of packaging units needed many times over.

Environmental benefits

Akylux (cardboard-plastic sheets) produced in the Hurbanovo plant are fully recyclable. The plant has its own recycling line, which it uses to recycle waste generated during production, but also to recycle waste (end-of-life packaging) that it buys back from its customers. This fulfils the principles of the circular economy, where materials are reused and recycled at the end of their life cycle to find a new use in the next product.
