Description

Cooling system with dynamically changing water demand. Solution to reduce pumping costs and pressure surges in water piping. 1. Changing the operating mode of the cooling system 2. Specifying installation locations and definition of vent valves as required 3. Fitting frequency converters to pumps.

Economic benefits

Decrease in electricity consumption to drive the pumps from 86 kW to 52 kW, annual electricity savings of 290,000 kWh all 3 recommendations combined.

Environmental benefits

Elimination of pipeline shocks (pressure surges) and increased durability of piping systems.
