Description
VegaTop works together to find the best possible garment cleaning solutions. Special chemical machines are used for dry cleaning of garments using perchloroethylene as a medium, which has a high degreasing capacity and can also cope with other stubborn stains.
These soils dissolve in the perchloroethylene during dry cleaning and remain in the solvent. Although perchloroethylene can be distilled directly in the cleaning machine to some extent, it is a closed process. After a certain number of cleaning cycles, the perchloroethylene needs to be replaced and the contaminated perchlorate distilled off. Until now, although the contaminated perchloroethylene could be used after distillation, it was not possible to achieve 100 % purity. Perchloroethylene is a hazardous waste and the current methods of disposal place a heavy burden on the environment.
VegaTop has brought a new solution to the Slovak market in cooperation with the German company GEISS. The polluted perchloroethylene undergoes several distillations in the GEISS plant, the solid waste produced in the chemical cleaning process is separated, which is then burned in a rotary kiln. The result of this process is 100% pure perchlorate ready for reuse.
Economic benefits
Cost savings for hazardous waste disposal.
Environmental benefits
Solvents are finite resources that are often disposed of as hazardous waste after use, usually by incineration - wasting resources. The aim of hazardous waste recovery is to recover as much of the solvent as possible from the resources used and return it to the market for reuse - resource sustainability.
Examples of implementation of the solution in practice
