Description
The 2ka atelier deals with complete project activities within landscape architecture and spatial planning. Apart from green infrastructure, the atelier engages in urban design and in the creation of hard-surface areas such as squares and street spaces. The atelier puts together project documentation from the smallest scales of garden improvements through parks, estates, squares, districts with combined development, all the way to expert opinion for BREEAM and LEED certification and expert opinion on landscape pattern within tens of kilometres from the concept stage all the way to building. Creating a "green" island in a developed city area involves a proposal of intensive and extensive vegetation roofs, a proposal of vertical vegetation elements, of water areas that positively contribute to the local microclimate, and of permeable hard surfaces. This is a complex solution to the effects of climate change in developed urban areas.
