Description
IoT –Internet of Things is a new concept that offers smart remote monitoring of different types of energies and media. It monitors electricity, water, gas, inner temperature and humidity and outside temperature. Smart meter-based monitoring systems enable effective monitoring of the built infrastructure from the viewpoint of energy management, and functional efficiency of the whole.
The technology offers a real-time view of the infrastructure functioning to the management. An infrastructure managed and monitored in this way can be run and serviced also based on current and historical data which are available non-stop. It is an electronic system utilising current modern technologies which use metallic, optical or wireless network to transmit data to a remote place. The data contains information about the energy required to run technologies, important operational states such as failure, critical conditions, normal operations etc. Furthermore, it describes operational variables such as temperature, performance, amount according to the sensor type and the nature of the technology. Measured and monitored data visualisation is done thought online web interface on www.eiot.sk or through remote access into an app which the client can access through an account.
Economic benefits
It is an electronic system using today's modern technologies that transmits data to a remote location via a metallic, optical or wireless network. The data contains information on the energy consumption required for the operation of the technology, important operating conditions such as fault, critical condition, operation, as well as operating values such as temperature, power, quantity, according to the type of sensors and the nature of the technology. By automating the data processing, it is possible to efficiently, but most importantly, immediately bring information about the current status and ensure:
- Installation of the monitoring technology without grossly interfering with the infrastructure,
- wireless communication of devices and power supply from a built-in battery if there is no power supply in the immediate vicinity,
- measurement of electricity, water, gas and temperature and humidity consumption in the premises concerned and detection of peaks, faults and unwanted conditions,
- current and historical energy data collected at ten-minute intervals.
Energy is defined as electricity [kW], water [l] and gas [m3]. For electricity, 3f voltage measurement [mV], 3f current measurement [mA], active power measurement [mW], active power draw measurement [Wh], and optional measurement are recorded.
Environmental benefits
Visualization of measured and monitored data is provided through an online web interface on the portal www.eiot.sk or remote access to the application, which the customer can access using a created account. eIoT.sk allows:
- overview of current consumption statuses and time increases,
- be alerted to unexpected conditions in the desktop,
- alarm notifications by email,
- water meter ambient temperature,
- historical status for the last 5 years.
