Description

ECO-PROGRAMME ZEM is a Euroinkubátor programme implemented through the ZEM European Youth Association, and it is focused on environmental education and practical education of children, youth and the general public in order to raise interest in environmental activities aimed at reducing and sorting household waste, increasing the recycling share through the creation and the practical use of didactic aids and the use of acquired habits in their own homes. To ensure sustainability, repetition and self-financing, it uses Applied Household Economics in a form of a home-based training company with the option of generating income support for the household or income in addition to a study for adolescents.

Economic benefits

The ECOPROGRAM EARTH together with the ECOPROGRAM in households in the form of a training company and CF in households creates a sustainable and independent financial resource. It is usable not only for the participating households, but also for non-profit organisations with legal personality and for informal groups without legal personality (in cooperation with Euroincubator) to finance their operational costs. It allows co-financing of grant support for environmental projects or the cost of full-time or part-time jobs for active members of the organisations.

Environmental benefits

Reducing the amount of packaging waste from households participating in the Eco-programme, take-back of packaging used in the Eco-programme in households for a fee, and recurrent awareness and education of new classes of youth as future independent households.

Examples of implementation of the solution in practice

Example for cooperation with secondary schools in the district: presentation of the project to students with a proposal to create a training company with the possibility of income alongside studies (Content of the programme - let's earn for the graduation and training company in the home). Euroincubator will create a CF and provide the administrative agenda for those interested. Example for cooperation with primary schools in the district: CF introduces the EKOPROGRAM EARTH to the pupils and organises a competition with prizes in the good housekeeper game and an exhibition of models "my company in a box", folding of EKOPROGRAM EARTH pictures and a travelling map of the region on PET bottles. Afterwards, CF will ensure the dismantling and compression of the PET and Euroincubator collection and sale of the recovered secondary raw materials.
