Description
Description of the solution - Manufacturers of packaging and non-packaging products who place their products on the market are responsible for them also after they become waste. Therefore, they fully cover the fees for separate waste collection. They do so collectively through a producer responsibility organization such as ENVI - PAK.
In municipalities ENVI - PAK provides a system of separate waste collection so that it is possible to collect, final-sort and recycle waste. ENVI - PAK pays the costs directly to the relevant collection company without any additional administration of the municipality. This brings budget savings to municipalities – the more waste the municipality sorts out, the less costs it has with disposing of the remaining mixed waste. Effectively set up separate waste collection is free for citizens. In cooperation with municipalities and collection companies, ENVI - PAK sets up an effective system of collection, final-sorting and recovery of separate waste.
From the very early days, through various activities and distribution of educational materials ENVI - PAK has explained how to sort waste properly, fight littering and protect nature.
Economic benefits
Sorted waste collection financed by producers through the CBOs is free of charge for citizens and municipalities. The higher the proportion of sorted waste in the municipality, the cheaper it is for the municipality and its citizens to dispose of the remaining mixed waste in landfill. At the same time, recycling saves electricity and water and promotes job creation.

Waste sorting is essential to turn waste into secondary raw materials that can be used to make new products. Through the education and activities of Take Me! ENVI-PAK fights against free-flowing waste, bringing a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
