Thanks to excellent retention properties, high material resistance to mechanical stress and long service life, the composition for lightweight vegetation roofs with high retention capacity and subsequent evaporation of water has been created. Fast water absorption (torrential rainfall) up to 17 l/m2, maximum water retention = 35 l/m2, high capacity of repeated absorption and subsequent evaporation of water for the use of grey water evaporation, simple installation, excellent mechanical resistance, fixed roof anchorage, wind-storm resistant.
Economic benefits
Reduces cooling costs (space heating under the green roof - reduces the cost of operating cooling equipment located on the roof, reduces or completely eliminates the cost of discharging rainwater into the sewerage system, allows efficient use of retained rainwater or subsidised grey water for evaporation from the green area - cooling and dust reduction effect).
Environmental benefits
Almost 80% of the composition is made of recycled materials - setting a "small water circulation" around the building. The green roof is an effective solution to replace the green space taken up by the building construction.
Examples of implementation of the solution in practice
Automotive 1: a validation installation of a lightweight vegetated roof demonstrated wind resistance and up to 40% energy savings for space cooling.
Automobile 2: comparison of conventional substrate and STERED compositions demonstrated higher installation efficiency, resistance to erratic weathering.
Senec: photovoltaics on a green roof operate in a more efficient mode.
