Description
The STERED construction material is particularly suitable for its excellent acoustic and thermal insulation properties to reduce noise disturbance in the production areas (diffuse noise) as well as noise leakage to the surrounding environment (increase of the sound insulation of the building envelope, walls). In combination with a rubber mat made of recycled tires, the composite boards are also suitable for damping vibrations.
Economic benefits
A favourable ratio between the cost of acoustic materials from the automotive industry and their contribution to compliance with the parameters of hygiene and health limits.
Environmental benefits
The objectives and limits for the working environment are set by EU Directive 2003/10/EC on minimum health and safety requirements concerning the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (noise) and Directive 2002/44/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 June 2002 on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from exposure to physical agents (vibration).
Examples of implementation of the solution in practice
Hospital Banská Bystrica - soundproofing of a room in the hospital 2015
Task: acoustic preparation of the room before storing the MRI machine in the hospital. Requirement to reduce the noise propagation of the MR machine into the room.
Solution used.
Result.
Bratislava Hospital - soundproofing of the English courtyard at the hospital 2015
Task. Requirement to reduce the noise transmission of the cooling machine into the space.
Solution used: wall cladding with acoustic insulation STERED ID 200/050 and STERED ID 200/080. The wall cladding was made by alternating STERED ID 200/050 and STERED ID 200/080 to achieve refraction of reflection waves and greater noise attenuation.
Result: reduction of noise transmission to the surroundings.
