Description
Sustainable fashion is at the core of NOSENE, s. r. o.'s philosophy. Fast fashion is becoming more and more of a problem and the piles of almost unused discarded clothes are growing by the day. Fast fashion causes the fashion industry to produce waste that ends up in many cases in landfills where it decomposes for years or in incinerators. Many of these are clothes that have been used only a few times, sometimes even brand new. In Slovakia, this problem is gradually being discussed and the issue is becoming known. NOSENE, a second-hand clothes shop, is also doing its bit by giving second chances to second-hand clothes. It successfully promotes the trend of recycled and upcycled fashion and helps to save the environment. Nosene has an environmental dimension as well as a charitable one. For every piece sold, a portion of the sale price, which the customer sees directly on the tag, goes to help abused women. In total, in 2017, they contributed €16,592, from which they also helped gifted Roma children in the Divé maky civic association and abused dogs in the o. z. Pes v núdzi (Dog in Need). They were awarded the Via Bona Slovakia 2016 Award for Social Innovation.
