Description
OZV NATUR-PACK ensures a functional system of management of selected components of municipal waste. In 2016, it obtained authorisation for the activity of the RMB for packaging and non-packaging products, electrical equipment, as well as for batteries and accumulators. The functionality of the system has been verified and confirmed by all inspections carried out so far by the Slovak Environmental Inspectorate. In 2018, OZV NATUR-PACK became the largest OZV in Slovakia with the largest number of clients and the largest number of inhabitants in the contracted municipalities. The regional coverage of OZV NATUR-PACK branches (headquarters and 7 branches all over Slovakia) is a great advantage for providing extensive administration and continuous solution of a huge number of municipalities' requirements. Thanks to the regional coverage, the NATUR-PACK team is flexible in intensive communication with municipalities, collection companies and, last but not least, with clients for whom it ensures the fulfilment of obligations arising from the Waste Act. One of the main objectives of OZV NATUR-PACK is to contribute to increasing the level of waste sorting and recycling, where Slovakia is bound by the objectives of the European Union. The closest one is 2020, by which time we should recycle up to 50% of sorted municipal waste components.
Economic benefits
The entire waste sorting and recycling system is fully financed by industry (the so-called producers) and does not burden the funding of municipalities or citizens. The economic benefit of a functional system for the management of selected sorted municipal waste components also lies in the saving of primary raw materials for all commodities whose waste is currently recyclable.
Environmental benefits
Ensuring a functional sorting system for selected types of municipal waste has a direct impact on the overall level of recycling in Slovakia. Apart from the logistical aspect of the matter (ensuring sorting in municipalities and towns and recycling of sorted waste components), OZV NATUR-PACK also influences environmental awareness through educational and informational activities.
