Description
The nature trail is made up of eleven stops, each with an information board dedicated to a specific medicinal plant. The information boards are made of wood and, in addition to a basic description of the individual herbs or plants, they also contain a photograph of the plant in question. The nature trail is frequented by students from the surrounding schools, but it is also an attraction for tourists from the surrounding area. The nature trail is easy and suitable for families with children. The nature trail also includes an artificial stork's nest, which is used for sitting or resting. Visitors can find out more at the individual stops, for example, about motherwort, chamomile, linden, dandelion, sweet potato, black elderberry or alchemilla.
Economic benefits
The nature trail is an attraction for both schools and tourists and thus represents an opportunity for the overall development of the region, especially in terms of tourism and the associated economic benefits for the whole area.
Environmental benefits
The nature trail can contribute to better care for the environment - visitors are informed through information boards about when to collect individual medicinal plants and which parts of the plants are suitable for collection. This eliminates damage to medicinal plants due to ignorance - e.g. by picking at the wrong time or by picking unsuitable parts of the plants. Last but not least, the nature trail is also an environmental education tool, thanks to which pupils can learn more about individual medicinal plants or the environment in general.
