Description
Ekolumi, s. r. o. was founded in 2010 as a Slovak waste management company. The company operates as an active recycler of PET bottles in Europe, with major suppliers of input PET bottles such as most Slovak towns and municipalities and major European cities such as London, Paris, Budapest, Prague, cooperates with Norway, Belgium, Italy, brings material from the USA and Canada.
In 2018, one of the largest recyclers of PET bottles in Europe, GREENTECH SA, based in Romania, joined the company as a shareholder, making Ekolumi, s.r.o. a member of the multinational Green Group, which processes around 140 thousand tons of PET bottles annually within its plastics division. As a logical consequence of the changes associated with the shareholder acquisition of one of the largest PET bottle recyclers in Europe, the company's business name was changed to Greentech Slovakia s.r.o. on 1 January 2021.
The company's key philosophy is based on mutual cooperation with all sectors, viewing recycling as a service for all citizens, industry, manufacturers, as well as state and public authorities.
